How to get Directions
The map on the right gives you our Sailing location at Abbey Meads Lake, Chertsey. Click on the pin marker and a bubble will open. To get directions from your starting pont to our lake click on the 'To here' link then in the next bubble enter your starting Post Code.
The lake is easy to find, being on the east side of the A320 Staines/Chertsey road opposite the Thorpe Park entrance. From whichever direction you approach, follow the signs to Thorpe Park. At that entrance take the southern exit towards Chertsey. The lake entrance is about 1000 metres on the left, after the lay-by where there is a turning off and a pair of metal gates.
When the Club is sailing at the lake, you will see a sign 'RADIO YACHTING' by the entrance. If the gate is locked, please phone the number on the sign on the gate and you will be advised the combination of the black lock (once the combination has been entered you need to push in the button on the end to release the clasp), please lock the gate behind you and jumble the combination. If the gates are open or just closed but not locked, please close and lock them behind you. If all else fails sound your horn and a club member will hopefully come and assist you.
